Love Light Norwich Returns 17 – 19 February 2022
It’s time to celebrate again!
We’re delighted to announce that we are bringing Love Light Norwich back to the City of Stories in February 2022, thanks to public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and with support from Norwich City Council & Norfolk County Council.
Love Light Norwich will take place from Thursday 17 – Saturday 19 February 2022. The free festival is designed to showcase Norwich in all its stunning beauty, drive footfall into the city centre, and encourage cultural tourism. Across 3 nights, the festival conjures magical experiences in the streets of Norwich through light, illumination, collaborative exhibitions, music, and much-loved landmarks transformed into vibrant artworks. An event truly not to be missed.
Love Light Norwich returns after its brilliant success in 2020, where 15,000 people enjoyed performance, projections, procession, and amazing installations. For 2022, Love Light Norwich will once again offer amazing free entertainment, brightening the dark February nights, and celebrating the City of Stories.
Stefan Gurney, executive director, Norwich BID said: “We’re delighted to bring a beacon of light to Norwich once again with our Love Light Norwich festival - where brilliant artists’ stunning works illuminate our City of Stories. However, this festival couldn’t happen without funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England so huge thanks go to them and to our sponsors, supporters and volunteers who also help make this happen. Arts and culture are integral to Norwich, and this relatively new festival creates an awe-inspiring attraction during low season supporting our local businesses and encouraging tourism to the City of Stories.”
Hazel Edwards, Area Director, South East, Arts Council England, said: “Thanks to National Lottery players, we’re delighted to support Norwich Business Improvement District’s Love Light Norwich in 2022. Culture has such an important role in making the places in which we live more attractive – driving a sense of pride. I hope the festival brings together people, from near and far, to experience what promises to be a magical programme of exciting light installations, performance, projections and much more!”
