Head Out, Not Home is back for 2021
Head Out, Not Home returns to bring free live music and entertainment to Norwich city centre this summer.
Featuring the best local acts, and brilliant artists from around the country, Head Out, Not Home will take place Sunday afternoons 2-5pm from 11 July to 5 September, on four stages across the city. Delivered by Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with NORCA & Sistema, this free programme of live performance is designed to bring people into Norwich and extend visiting hours by providing a brilliant attraction to enhance the city centre experience.
Performers this year include brilliant local acts such as singer-songwriter Lucy Grubb, genre-defying musical duo The Foreign Locals, and afro-beat fusion five-piece Nebula Sun amongst others, as well as nationally renowned artists such as folk favourites The Shackleton Trio and Inlay.
This free programme of entertainment will take place on Sunday afternoons, providing family-friendly fun and driving footfall throughout the day. Running for 8 weeks from Sunday 11 July, music will flood the streets of Norwich from 2-5pm every Sunday.
A firm favourite for locals, Head Out, Not Home has been an annual summer tradition since 2013, and following a year where live performance was sorely missed, is sure to bring people into the city to enjoy all the best contemporary music and performance for free.
Stages are located across the city centre, with permanent weekly sets at Gentleman’s Walk, St Gregory’s Green, and Westlegate. A fourth stage will be roving, with performances taking place on Tombland, Riverside, and Millennium Plain. All performances will take place outside, with plenty of space for people to enjoy the show.
