Child Sexual Exploitation Prevention: Training Security Industry Authority (SIA) Staff

The Children's Society (TCS) are dedicated to working with vulnerable children and young people and run numerous Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) support services across the country. As part of an ongoing commitment to the issue, The National Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Prevention Programme are delivery training and workshops to industries across England and Wales to raise awareness of this issue and promote the safeguarding of children.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation and wide models of abuse
  • Knowledge of how to spot the signs of abuse
  • Knowledge of what to do if you are concerned about a child

Why Train SIA Staff?:

  • The security industry, regardless of role, plays an important part in safeguarding vulnerable young people - they are additional eyes and ears
  • There is an inextricable link between late night licensed premises and exploitation
  • In some cases, the security industry staff member may be the first individual the young person meets who could actually remove them from their abuser safely

Due to the nature of the course, we are offering a maximum of 20 spaces per session. This means that tickets will be allocated on a "first come, first serve" basis. Apologies for any inconvenience.
