Following a successful first Run Norwich in 2015 organised by Norwich City Community Sports Foundation (CSF), the 10km road race returned on Sunday 7 August 2016.
With over 3,000 runners participating in 2015 the course took in some of the city’s most iconic and prominent landmarks. The route provides a unique experience for both runners and spectators, with music and entertainment at the start, along the course and in Chapelfield Gardens.
Run Norwich is for those aged 16 and over and for runners of all abilities and levels of experience.
One of the key aims of Run Norwich is to support local causes and runners are encouraged to fundraise for the race’s chosen partner charities (Community Sports Foundation, Age UK Norwich, Nelson's Journey and Norfolk Accident Rescue Service).
Norwich BID continues to be instrumental in helping make this event happen for the city, as a key funder and part of the part of the race operations board.
Run Norwich brings a buzz to the city centre and the BID team had a great time taking part again.
Run Norwich is made possible thanks to the partnership work of its Race Operations Board: Norwich BID, Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, Norwich City Football Club, Active Norfolk, The Forum, Norwich City Council, VisitNorfolk and VisitNorwich.
